an artful boutique in Marfa texas. it’s in the heart of town, a few steps away from The Sentinel, the local newspaper, coffee shop bodega. just 5 rooms and not one is the same as the other. each has unique pieces of art, different books topical to the art of Marfa or vintage western books. but each room has the same beautiful bones of imperfectly-laid tile in the bathrooms, exposed white washed beamed ceilings, each with its own unique patios, but joint courtyard for gathering. it’s an oasis in the desert primed to be a space to take care of yourself while you’re staying - with a barrel sauna, cold plunge, and clawfoot tub to soak. designed by Janzten Matdorff and Chris McCray. two people who know good design and also know Marfa. McCray has lived off and on in Marfa for X number of years and now lives there full-time. Janzten calls it home whenever he’s not traveling the world. they worked to source every piece to have character that represents the unique energy that marfa holds. pieces of art, art that looks like art and art that you don’t quite understand, state the rooms.

hit the road right out of town to go see the iconic prada marfa building, or head in the other direction to take a dip in the natural springs Balomorrhea Pool, and enjoy the wide open spaces and Mars scenery
